The update BISFed Rules 2021 -2021 V1 are now available on the World Boccia website as well as the BA website  Lisa Hanssens, Head Referee is working with the referees, to ensure they are ready to implement them at 2022 competitions. Changes include ramp assistants are now called Ramp Operators (RO’s), increasing the size of the penalty box and clarification on what is a dropped ball. While Boccia Australia will implement these rules there is the ability to make changes to suit our athletes.

On Friday 20th August the Boccia Australia (BA) team departed Sydney headed for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. After 23 hours in transit (including 6 hours at the airport on arrival), the team has settled into the Paralympic Village and are ready for the start of competition...

After lengthy discussion and careful consideration, the Boccia Australia Board has made the very difficult decision that the reality of COVID19 makes holding Boccia Australia National Titles in 2021 untenable.

Boccia Australia is very pleased to release it's four year strategy. It was developed through extensive consultation with our members and stakeholders.

BA has reviewed its Codes of Conduct to provide clear behaviour guidelines and promote a quality environment in which both sports and participants can thrive. It covers everyone involved in our sport including athletes, sports assistants, volunteers, referees and coaches.

You can use NDIS funding to play boccia - but you need to know how. BocciaNSW have written a helpful, little Question and Answer document which they hope you'll find useful.
