CLASSIFICTION COMMUNICATION
Boccia Australia with the help and support of Paralympics Australia have completed an extensive Health Check of our classification Rules & Regulations, Policies and Processes to ensure that we are compliant with the governance and regulatory requirements within the BISFed classification rules and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) classification code.
We have now completed our new Clasification Rules for the Para-sport classes (BC1, BC2, BC3 & BC4) and are pleased to include the Boccia Australia Inclusion Classes (BC5 & OPEN) for competition in Australia.
In 2023 the process and delivery of any future classification events will be managed by Boccia Australia (and supported by PA as required).
A calendar of classification events will be scheduled in the new year and will be held prior to a State based competition (based on demand) and at Nationals on an annual basis.
If you would like to be Provisionally classified:
- Complete the required Provisional Classification and Medical Diagnostic Form then;
- Contact BA at (classification@boccia.com.au) to request a secure DropBox password to upload the form, video, and any private medical information.
This can be done at any time throughout the year, however if you are planning to compete at a State based event it needs to be done at least 6 weeks prior to the event. DO NOT send any forms, video or medical information direct to a classifier. Classifiers are unable to process your request directly.
